Menston's Division A title bid came to an end with a third consecutive defeat and they are now in danger of missing out on finishing as runners-up.
North Leeds' 39-run triumph was enough to see them leap-frog over Menston and into second place on an afternoon when Bilton were crowned champions. Menston trail North Leeds by three points with Otley a further three points behind in fourth place. Seven dropped catches played a major part in Menston's defeat as North Leeds were allowed to reach 141 after struggling at 57 for four at one stage.
In reply, Menston appeared to be cruising but at 60 for two David Lester was dismissed for 30 to trigger a batting collapse. Bilton's 150-run victory at Otley, meanwhile, sealed the title in style.
Steeton look set to join already relegated Collingham in Division B next season after falling agonisingly short of Hall Park's 262 for eight. Half-centuries from Alex Howarth and Alex Gledhill kept Steeton on course but they could not hit the 11 runs needed from Robert Murphy's last over as they finished two runs short.
That leaves Steeton 12 points behind third-from-bottom Follifoot with just two games remaining and seemingly set for the drop.
Kenrick Marshall's six for 33 helped Rawdon clinch promotion to the top flight at the first attempt with a winning draw at home to Silsden. Ten of Marshall's 25 overs were maidens as Silsden were restricted to 121 for nine in reply to Rawdon's 192 for nine. Kirkstall Educational are champions after a thrilling one-wicket victory at Tong Park.
The battle to avoid relegation to Division C took another twist with a thrilling victory for Harden at Burley. Stuart Hudson once again was the hero for Harden, his six for 66 helping bowl out the home side for 146. Skipper Andy Moulds then led the reply with 42 as Harden clinched a three-wicket win that also extended Burley's losing run to five games.
The victory was enough to lift Harden up to third from bottom, leaving Thackley and Silsden in the relegation zone with two games to go. Thackley stretched their unbeaten run to seven games with a losing draw at Pool, who hit 257 for seven. At the close, Thackley had reached 198 for seven thanks to half-centuries from brothers Andrew and Chris Luxton.
Silsden now have 34 points, two behind Thackley and a further two adrift of Harden. Robert Dilger passed 1,000 runs for the season as Skipton were promoted from Division C with a seven-wicket victory over Woodhouse. Dilger hit 69 and Steve Carling 90 as Skipton coasted past Woodhouse' 195 for eight.
Illingworth remain favourites to also be promoted after a tenth successive victory, Pool Mills being their latest victims. Horsforth are third, eight points behind Illingworth, after Ben Clarke's 91 not out clinched a ten-wicket triumph at Alwoodley. Kevin Holme hit 111 not out as Upper Wharfedale recovered from 14 for two to reach 213 for four and beat Olicanian by 139 runs, while Chris Campbell claimed five for 14 as Addingham beat Ben Rhydding by 25 runs.
