Bradford Park Avenue boss Trevor Storton is determined that his players will bounce back from Saturday's 6-2 mauling at Vauxhall Motors when Worksop Town visit Horsfall Stadium tonight.
Avenue dropped out of the top half of the UniBond Premier Division table after the weekend debacle but he insists it was just a minor setback and they will get points from tonight's game and the trip to Alfreton Town on Saturday.
"If my players have anything about them they will want to put the second-half performance against Vauxhall behind them," said Storton.
"They were fantastic in the first half but fell apart in the second. If they play like they did in the first 45 minutes on Saturday and can do that consistently we will win a lot of games this season.
"I'm hoping they respond well and prove to themselves what they are capable of."
Avenue could have a stronger squad than the one that travelled to Merseyside but it all hinges on late fitness tests for two of the close-season signings. However, they will be without midfielder Simon Collins, who injured an Achilles last time out.
"Simon is struggling so it will be best if we rule him out. Nicky Wood and Carl Serrant will be having fitness tests today. It looks promising for them both but you never know.
"If there is any doubt at all we will leave them on the sidelines because they are important players and we can't risk them being out for the long term."

Hat-trick hero Ryan Senior will be missing from Guiseley's line-up tonight when they make the arduous journey to the north-east to take on Gateshead, but former Huddersfield Town forward Iain Dunne will be back.
Senior netted all his side's goals in the
3-2 FA Cup preliminary round victory at Crook Town but the policeman is unavailable tonight because of work commitments.
On the other hand, Dunne, a former team-mate at Town of Guiseley boss Neil Parsley, is in contention after missing Saturday's FA Cup win over Crook Town. He is on loan from Harrogate Town and the North Yorkshire club did not want him cup-tied in case of a recall.
"Ryan will be out for a number of weeks now due to his day job but having Dunny back is a real plus," said Parsley.
"Lee Ashforth will drop out of the squad we took to County Durham on Saturday because we have to revert to three substitutes in the UniBond Division One."
Guiseley (from); Lamb, Hay, Stuart, Shaw, Nettleton, Illingworth, Henry, Jackson, Shuttleworth, Chattoe, Airdrie, Sumner, Atkinson, Dunne, Cooke, Freeman.
Eccleshill United can steal a march on their Northern Counties East Premier Division rivals with a win tonight when Sheffield visit Plumpton Park. United recorded three points with a comfortable
3-1 win at Armthorpe Welfare on Saturday and following six points from their opening three fixtures they would be in a strong position with another maximum.
Near-neighbours Farsley Celtic will also have a keen eye on proceedings. Following their FA Cup win at Atherton Collieries they face the City of Steel side at Throstle Nest in the next round a week on Saturday.
