Eccleshill United 0, Sheffield 0: A competitive and enjoyable encounter that produced no goals will not have the
floating supporters turning up in their droves for Eccleshill United's next home game but it did earn them a point.
It was United's first draw of the campaign but coming against a Sheffield side tipped to do well this term it was another forward step for Tony Brown's men.
Three wins, one defeat and now a draw completes the full set of results and also takes Eccleshill's points tally after five games in the Northern Counties East Premier Division this term into double figures.
United began well and dominated the opening quarter of the game, creating a few chances in the early stages. However, as Sheffield settled into their rhythm they adopted a meaner streak in their defence.
The rest of the game was no less committed but it produced little goalmouth action and both keepers were severely under-worked.
