A veteran fundraiser hopes to help scores of homeless children with her 20th mercy mission to Bosnia.
Bradford grandmother Nora Kilcoyne has returned from an aid trip to the country where she helped to build an old people's home complete with health clinic and chapel for 50 homeless pensioners.
With just weeks left until the residents can move in, Nora is already planning her next venture in October, to help families and children left homeless and poverty-stricken by the war.
"I met an American woman who told me about these families stuck in a no-man's land between Mostar and Medjugorje," said Nora, who lives in Acacia Drive, Sandy Lane, Bradford. "There were a few hundred families living there. I came across people living rough in caravans and junkyards. I would not let my dog anywhere near that place. People are living in appalling conditions.
"I also saw a lot of children wandering about lost from the war still. We called them 'nobody's children'. These children need a place to live and to be reintegrated back into school but the Government does not even know they exist."
Nora hopes to raise enough money to buy land to build homes for them, which would cost as little as £3,000.
