One of the oldest pubs in Shipley has been sold - after planning permission was granted to transform it into offices.
Approval had been given in July to convert the Blue Bell public house, at the junction between Carr Lane and Leeds Road in Windhill, into offices.
But it is understood that the applicants have not bought the building and it has been sold to another company.
The former agents for the building, Eddison's, confirmed that the building had been sold but would not reveal the new owners. The Bluebell closed more than two years ago when the pub's owner, Enterprise Inns, said it was no longer commercially viable. The building had been a pub for almost 200 years.
In August last year Bradford Council rejected plans to turn the building into a nursery, after a £250,000 conversion had taken place.
The building could now be used as offices or a restaurant without applying for permission. Bradford Council has confirmed no applications for change of use have been received.
