A Bradford woman shared her 100th birthday with Bradford City Football Club.
Hilda Slater was born on the same day Bradford City played their first match at Valley Parade.
The Lord Mayor of Bradford Councillor Allan Hillary was among guests invited to her celebration at Joseph Wright Court sheltered housing complex in Thackley where she lives.
Mrs Slater married Abraham and had two children, Jane and Norman. She was widowed in 1972.
She began work in the textile industry at 12 and has lived in Bradford Moor and Tong. Mr Slater said he believed the secret to her longevity was the care she has in sheltered housing.
