An Oxenhope entrepreneur is on a one-man mission to find innovative import opportunities in the Far East.
It is the second time that Paul Cannon, pictured has been out to China to track down business leads.
Last year he returned with a wireless CCTV monitoring system called Cancam which he has been successfully selling across the country.
Mr Cannon, 49, will be looking for a company that can make an improved model of the system during his two-week trip in October.
He is also planning to help other businesses find products they can import to the UK.
Mr Cannon will be attending three trade fairs - China Hitec in Shenzhen, Electronics Asia in Hong Kong and an electronics and IT fair in Canton.
"I'm looking for products without customers and customers without products so I can bring them together," he said. "Products can then be sourced, supplied and delivered on the client's behalf."
While the Far East has a reputation for electronics equipment, Mr Cannon said there are a wealth of products available in China, including everyday household items.
"I've found a shower unit over there that's something else," he said. "It's got 12 jets, it will take two or three people and it's got a television and radio!"
As well as products that can be imported to the UK, Mr Cannon said he will help British companies export their products to the Far East.
Mr Cannon is now looking for around five firms to sponsor his trip.
"Companies could show me what their business is and we can see if we can work together to find a product that can increase their business," he said. He already has interest from two firms in the region.
"The business potential is excellent. Products can be developed and produced far cheaper in the Far East to meet the demands of the western market," he said.
"The economic growth of China in particular has yet to be realised and the country is developing skills that are available to the west at an affordable price."
