A monster caterpillar has created a flutter in a village neighbourhood.
The gigantic creature was discovered in an Oakworth garden on Monday.
And the grub -- found by children beneath a plant in the Lane Ends area -- became an instant talking point among neighbours.
Initially it was thought the creature could be a tropical species, appearing due to the recent exceptionally warm weather.
But a spokesman at Tropical World, Roundhay Park, Leeds -- sent a picture of the caterpillar by the Keighley News -- said it was a relatively common species, known as a hawk moth.
"It is native to this country and is not rare," she said. "There are many different species of caterpillar and most tropical ones simply would not survive in Britain, it is not hot enough. I probably receive half a dozen calls a day from people who have found a caterpillar they believe to be rare."
