Bosses at Bradford College have paid tribute to the achievements of overseas students who excelled in A-levels, in some cases soon after learning English.
Top of the class was 21-year-old Dan Lin from China, who completed her A-levels in one year.
She got A grades in accounting, Chinese, maths and further maths and a B in business studies. Now she is going to Warwick University to train as an actuary.
"My favourite class was the Maths Skills Workshop, all of the teachers there were very helpful," she said.
"I found out about Bradford College through an agency in China and came here doing a six month course in the English language. I then went on to take my A-levels."
"Bradford is quite a lovely place with nice people - I particularly like going to Horton Park, it is beautiful."
This year international students did exceptionally well in their A-levels, with the majority receiving A and B grades.
"The international students are a credit to us. To perform as well as they have, while learning in a foreign language, is a breathtaking achievement," said Sharon Marriott, head of the Sixth Form Centre.
