Two splendid entertainers, who have both garnished their basic stage talent with great good humour, have a Sunday date with Bradford Metro, which more and more seems to be calling on one-night appearances by name stars to keep its theatres and halls active. Paul Daniels will top the bill in his own show at the Bradford Alhambra on Sunday, whilst extraordinarily talented jazz singer George Melly will return on Sunday to the Bingley Arts Centre.

OUR READERS' VIEWS: "Is it not time to make the letting off of banging fireworks illegal before November 5 (or at times of festivities)? The constant bangs which are now heard are dreadful to old and nervy people, and also to those with bad hearts, or suffering folk where every noise pierces like a knife.
