Bradford's business leaders will have the chance to debate what makes a successful firm when the city takes part in a satellite link-up across the UK.
The city is one of just two venues in Yorkshire taking part in the Department of Trade and Industry's Living Innovation event to promote innovation in business.
The night will be hosted by television personality Adam Hart-Davies, presenter of What the Romans Did for Us, who is hoping to uncover the ingredients that make a successful business leader.
He will be based at the central studio on London's South Bank, while business people will gather at 30 locations around the UK, including Bradford's National Museum of Photography, Film and Television, to take part in the debate.
A panel of innovators from the business world will be taking part, including Karan Bilimoria, founder of Cobra Beer; Peter Nelson, of Glenmorangie; Caroline Plumb, of Fresh Minds recruitment agency; and Mark Constantine, founder of Lush hand-made cosmetics.
Following the live debate, in Bradford there will be a local panel discussion chaired by John Pennington, former Bradford Chamber President, with questions from a Bradford business audience. Here the guests will include Naim Butt, managing director of Prime Packaging, and Linda Will, managing director of Accord Mortgages.
Chamber president Roland Clark said it was a boost to Bradford to be able to host the event and urged business leaders in the city to have their say.
"This year's debate will be interesting with such a good mix of industries and panel guests," he said. "Local business will benefit from attending and learning how these companies surged forward in their own fields and hopefully get some of their own ideas on innovative techniques."
The Bradford event is sponsored by Yorkshire Forward and Business Link for West Yorkshire, and supported by Bradford Breakthrough and the bmedia@ group. It takes place from 5pm until 8pm on Tuesday, October 21. Tickets from Leanne Wright on (01274) 230050.
