A scheme to convert a fire-ravaged mill into flats and houses is due to be decided on Monday.
Planning officers will urge members of Shipley Area Planning Panel to approve the bid to turn some of the 19th Century Dowley Gap Mill at Dob Kiln Lane, Bingley, into three, two-bedroom flats and to build five detached homes on the site of its 20th Century outbuildings.
The plans will see the restoration of the three-storey mill, which is in the Leeds-Liverpool conservation area, and the retention of an arched entrance way to the rear yard. Residents' parking spaces will go at the back of the mill hidden from view. The five new homes will be built in local stone with natural slate roofs.
Trees and shrubs around the mill will stay as they are. Southern Marsh Orchids on the site have already been re-planted for conservation sake.
There have been on objections to the proposals by the Blackshaw Group of Halifax.
