A coach company boss admitted at Skipton court that two of her fleet of five vehicles had defects.
Susan Hall, of Otley Road, Baildon Bridge, Shipley, was fined a total of £300 after admitting that a 53-seater coach had a defective tachograph and that another had an ineffective mechanism to keep the coach governed to below 65mph.
Hall, who runs Worth Valley Coaches, had a previous conviction for a defective tachograph - the device which registers drivers' hours - imposed by Bradford magistrates earlier this year. She was fined £350.
Prosecutor Mark Horton, of the Vehicle Operators Service Agency, said a coach was stopped in Rectory Lane, Skipton, and the techograph was found not to be calibrated and there was no sign of a two-year inspection having taken place.
An inspector visited the company and discovered that another vehicle had a defective speed limiter which would keep the vehicle below 65mph.
Transport manager Raymond Brigdon said the driver had failed to report that the speed limiter was broken and had since received a written warning.
The other coach, normally only used for school runs, had been taken out by mistake when the correct vehicle had suffered a breakdown.
