Children at Glusburn Primary School were greeted by an oversized chicken to celebrate the end of a football course.
Following a five-week coaching course staged by Bradford City Football in the Community, pupils at the school took part in a sponsored penalty shoot out against club mascot Billy Bantam.
Each child received a certificate for taking part, with those, who scored all four penalties, winning a medal.
The money raised by the event was shared equally by the football in the community programme and the school children, who raised more than £20 each, also won a Bradford City football.
The coaching course, which was taken by qualified coach Danny Gaudiosi, taught the pupils dribbling, passing and other football skills.
Head teacher Val Ashdown said money raised by the school would go towards a project to revamp the playground.
She said: "It is the third time we have taken part in this event.
"It is always well-supported and the majority of children have taken part and they really enjoyed it."
