Vintage tractors took to the streets of Bront country at the weekend.

Thirteen vehicles converged on the Worth Valley on Sunday for a fundraising run.

It is hoped the event will raise about £1,000 once all sponsorship money has been collected.

The cash will be split between the Sue Ryder cancer-care hospice Manorlands, and St James' Church at Cross Roads.

The run -- organised by the Aire Valley Vintage Machinery Club -- began at the church and took in a route encompassing Oxenhope and Haworth.

Club member Trish Midgley said: "It was an absolutely brilliant event.

"About £500 was raised on the day, and with other monies still to be taken into account we hope to reach the £1,000 mark.

"We had participants from right across the region, and everything was rounded off superbly with pie and peas provided by the church.

"It was the second time we had held this particular run, and hopefully it will now become an annual event."

The club is already gearing up for its next run - the traditional Christmas gathering, to be held on December 28.

Up to 100 tractors and other vehicles are expected to take part in the event, which will raise funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Participants will congregate at Colin Appleyard's car showroom in Keighley at 9am for the run, which is now in its fourth year.

Trish said: "This event is a big one. It's mainly tractors that take part, but anyone - even cyclists - is welcome to join in."
