One started going to matches with her dad when she was five. The other worships the ground prop forward Stuart Fielden runs on.
They're both big rugby league fans and usually best of pals.
But tomorrow at 6.30pm housemates Ruth Grundy and Laura Blackledge, pictured here, will become temporary enemies.
For Ruth, 23, will be backing the Bulls in the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford and Laura, 24, wants the Wigan Warriors to win.
They met when they were both students at Bradford University and get on fine - until the Bulls and Warriors go head to head.
Ruth, secretary of the Bradford Independent Supporters Association, said: "We watched the semi-final together on the television and were both cheering Wigan on. I can't stand Leeds because of the rivalry. I hate them.
"But now it's very different. There's only one winner - the Bulls."
She has supported the Bulls for 15 years after she begged her dad to take her as well as her brother to the match.
Tomorrow she will be among eight members of the family heading to Old Trafford.
"I am so excited. My favourite player is Stuart Fielden, who I think is fantastic.
"He was under-rated at the beginning but now he's just great."
But Laura, who shares the house in Grantham Terrace, near the university, has other ideas.
"Wigan will win. In the league we have beaten them two out of three times. We are a bit of a bogey team for Bulls and will want revenge after the 37-6 defeat in 2001.
"We are going to stamp all over them."
She started going to matches at home in Wigan when she was very little.
"My dad didn't have any sons so I went with him from when I was about five.
"Gary Connolly was my favourite player and I have never forgiven him for going to Leeds. Nobody has come close to him."
She is praying for her new Wigan shirt to arrive in the post. But she has to make do with watching the match on telly with friends as she couldn't afford to go.
She is also a barmaid at McCrory's and is ready to take some flak.
"Everybody knows I am from Wigan and are always having me on about it."
So how will the housemates be after the match when the winner's on a victory lap?
Laura, said: "I shall be fine with Ruth... so long as Wigan win!"
Ruth said: "No chance. The trophy's coming to Bradford!"
