Firms across the Bradford district are backing a new campaign to boost employment opportunities for disabled people.
Bradford-based City Facilities - along with local branches of B&Q, Asda, Safeway and Sainsbury's - have signed up to the Double the Opportunities initiative.
It was launched by Remploy, the UK's leading supplier of employment services for disabled people, to mark the European Year of Disabled People.
Firms taking part guarantee to provide a level playing field for disabled applicants through their recruitment processes and by making allowances for any ongoing support.
Lynn Bower, regional business development manager for Remploy, urged other Bradford firms to follow their lead. "We hope the example set by these companies will encourage others," she said.
Companies interested in joining the scheme should contact Lynn on 07977 436025.
