Projects to help more people set up in business are expected to share in a pot of Government funding worth £6 million.
The money comes from the Government's Phoenix Development Fund, set up to boost enterprise among under-represented groups and in disadvantaged areas.
Trade and Industry Secretary Patricia Hewitt said: "This is great news for organisations in Yorkshire and Humber.
"Boosting enterprise among groups under-represented in business and in disadvantaged communities is the key to social inclusion."
Yorkshire and Humberside has benefited to the tune of more than £3.75m from the Phoenix Development Funding since 2001, helping more than 280 new businesses set up and creating or safeguarding 370 jobs.
