A Bradford man who used the pseudonym Little Billy when accessing indecent pictures of children on the Internet has admitted possessing and attempting to distribute the images.

Magistrates in Dews-bury heard how 51-year-old Malcolm Peter Barwick had 295 such images on his home computer - 117 of which were graded level four or five. Images are graded from one to five, with five the most serious.

Barwick, of Castlegate Drive, Eccleshill, a small man with a shaved head and wearing a white t-shirt, blue shirt, and black trousers, spoke only to give his name, address and guilty pleas.

Barwick pleaded guilty to 20 charges of possession of indecent images of children and ten of attempting to distribute indecent images of children.

Barwick's solicitor Frank Joyce made no representations and he will be sentenced at Leeds Crown Court at a later date. He was bailed.

He will have to sign on to the Sex Offender's Register.
