A set of little beasts was tentatively welcomed at a Keighley school.
Pupils at Parkwood Primary School were introduced to various tropical creatures, courtesy of rangers from Zoolab UK.
The children were given the chance to handle giant snails, snake, frogs, tarantulas, scorpions, millipedes and cockroaches.
The rangers also described the different animals, their habitats and their diet.
Learning mentor Lorraine Sharpe, who also got to grips with the creepy-crawlies, said: "It was to introduce these little beasts to the children, who probably will not be able to see these things again.
"The children were allowed to touch and hold them. Some of them did not want to at all but a lot of them did -- but they all enjoyed it."
The event was organised to support the science curriculum of pupils in key stage two.
