BENTHAM people will go to the polls on Thursday November 13 to elect a new Craven District Council representative. The vacancy arose following the resignation of long serving councillor John Pilkington after he was charged with child pornography offences. Two candidates have come forward to contest the seat - Manuel Colon Camacho, of Robin Lane, who stands as an Independent, and John Russell Jackson, of Birkwith Lane, Low Bentham, a Conservative.
