GREATWOOD School is gearing up for its 50th anniversary celebrations but needs some help.
The school is looking for memorabilia relating to the school, such as old photos, artefacts or anecdotes of days spent at the school.
An appeal has been made to parents and grandparents of the current pupils who may have attended Greatwood and remember particular people from their time who should be invited along to take part in the celebrations.
The whole school is involved in the anniversary and each year, from the nursery to year six, has been designated an era to base their display work around. There will be three concerts, a raffle and the school's nursery children will design celebratory t-shirts.
Greatwood school's birthday is on November 7 but the week of celebrations will commence on November 17 and will include an open day for the public on Friday November 21. This will include a games day and a street party.
Anyone who has any memorabilia is asked to call the school on 01756 793609.
