FOR the third successive year, Gargrave Business Initiative is organising a Guy Fawkes trail around the village.
The event which raises funds for the organisation to put on things like the fireworks display and the Christmas lights will be held on the weekend of November 1 and 2. The first day coincides with the village bonfire.
This year the Guys will be styled on themes based on a book, a film or a television programme and it is hoped last year's entry of around 40 subjects will be surpassed.
Trail forms are available from the Dalesman Caf and the newsagents so people can walk around the village and pick their favourite Guy. There will be prizes totalling £50 for the winning entries as well as a prize of £50 for the first trail leaflet pulled out of the hat which names the winning guy.
After the bonfire and fireworks display, the next event in Gargrave will be the Christmas lights which will be switched amid a series of festivities on November 30.
