The search is on for 'expert patients' to take part in a new health programme.
North Kirklees Primary Care Trust is looking for people who have a chronic illness, such as diabetes or heart disease, to attend an Expert Patient course.
The courses will help people with chronic illness to manage their health and improve their wellbeing.
The PCT is launching the programme at Beckside Court, Bradford Road, Batley, from 10am to 1.30pm on Tuesday.
Patients, carers, partner organisations and staff are welcome.
Those on the programme will have to attend a weekly session for six weeks. Two courses are planned, starting in January and March.
