Keighley Athletic 3
Athletic went through to the next round of the Keighley Cup with a generally dismal display against Royal. Despite moving comfortably into a 3-0 first half lead through Steve Kernan (2) and Antonio Familio. Chance after chance went begging and the game should have been well and truly settled by half time.
Royal upped their game in the second half as Simon Oxley scored the only goal in a second half full of chances, if it had not been for some excellent saves by Heath Maddock's the result could have been much closer.
Bingley Town 5
Variety Club 4
Bingley fought hard to secure a narrow victory over the New Variety Club, securing a 2-1 lead by half time with goals from Adam Barnes and Andy Newton, despite missing a penalty. The Variety Club equalised early in the second half by Andy Nelson put town back in front with an unstoppable strike.
Another equaliser from Variety Club took the game into extra time. Town started brightly and restored a two goal advantage with an excellent drive from Paul Rance and another from Nelson. Variety Club pulled one back but it was not enough.
Bocking 13
Bridge Inn 0
Bocking proved far too strong for Bridge Inn and had the upper hand throughout. They scored four within the first 10 minutes and by half time had increased their lead to 7-0.
The second half saw goals continue to fly in at a furious pace as they added six more without reply. Goalkeeper Graham Ellis celebrated becoming a father by stepping between the posts to score from the penalty spot and other goals came from Gary Binns (3), man of the match David Nelson (2)., D Armstrong (4), G Binns (3), D Bainbridge, K Anderton, and M Labbett.
Three Horses 5
Cavendish 0
Horses went 3-0 up by half time in a one-side game. They added two more in the second half with goals from D Rowell, C Smith, J Rowell and P Coward.
Albert Hotel 3
Fleece 0
Fleece though they had won the game before they kicked off after turning up with the strongest team, and a full complement of three subs. But although Lee Cottier looked the part for Fleece Albert opened the scoring with a 20-yard shot from James Hanson. Their second came from a corner, scored by M Robinson and with the goalkeeper on form they picked up a third from T Feather.
Silsden Town 3
BCA 5
Silsden struck first with a great goal from Gary Lund, but BCA equalised from the penalty spot and added another two before half time. Silsden battled back to 3-3 with another cracking goal from Lund and one from P Tennant, but BCA scored two late goals to secure the win.
