Bradford's John Street Market will be back in business next month - almost exactly a year after it was burned to the ground. More than 100 stallholders will move back into the market on November 6, a year and two days after the blaze which destroyed the roof and stalls, and damaged surrounding shops.

Frank Shufflebotham has resigned his position as trainer of Bradford City to become licensee of the Prospect Hotel, Eccleshill (writes "Bantam"). The changeover will take place in a month's time. Shuffle-botham has been at Valley Parade for seven years and has given the club splendid service as player and trainer.
