Farsley Celtic will reach the first round proper of the FA Cup and face a trip to Nationwide Second Division Brentford, if they beat Gainsborough Trinity tonight.
They are 90 minutes, 120 minutes, or - at nerve-jangling worst - a penalty shoot-out away from a date against a Football League side in the oldest knockout competition in the world, for only the second time in their long history.
After coming so close to beating their higher ranking opposition when they drew with UniBond Premier Division side Gainsborough on Saturday, Celts manager Lee Sinnott is still in bullish mood.
"We have faced teams from a higher standing four times now, twice in pre-season and twice in the FA Cup and we have not been beaten so far," said the former Bantam, who has a losers medal from his days with Watford.
"It would be fair to say that Gainsborough didn't play as well as they could have on Saturday. But they can only do what they can against the opponents in front of them and I thought we gave them problems.
"If we had pushed on a bit more it might have been over already, but we are still in the tie. I would like to think we gave then enough of a game for them not to be taking us lightly.
"Can we win it? Yes it is possible but we will have to be assured and confident.
"We were disappointed that we didn't win on Saturday for about ten minutes after the game but then it sunk in that we are still in the FA cup and are capable of going away from home and getting a result."
The Celts will be without midfielder Wes Freeman who limped out of the initial meeting before half-time but is suspended anyway. Winger Danny Spence will also be missing due to illness.
Sinnott feels he will not have to remind his players to concentrate on the present and not be dreaming of facing Brentford a week on Saturday.
"This is still an open game, the tie could go either way," he said. "Any thoughts of playing Brentford are not on my mind, but I can't vouch for my players. If they perform anything less than to their full capabilities tonight it will be academic in any case.
"It is an old saying but we have to take it one game at a time, getting ahead of yourself brings all kinds of problems."
