Chairman of Bradford City Supporters' Trust Chris Hawkridge has called on Gordon Gibb to come out and clarify the position of his under-fire manager.
Fans have been bombarding City's internet site with angry e-mails about the team's recent performances and Hawkridge claims that growing numbers are turning against Nicky Law.
"You have to be fair to Nicky Law," said Hawkridge. "If he believes it is down to one game, win or lose next Saturday, then he is in an extremely difficult position.
"Looking at what was said after the Forest game, it does seem Law has only one more game to prove himself. City chairman Gordon Gibb needs to come out and clarify the position.
"If the manager has three months or the rest of the season, he should say that."
Hawkridge believes Law's "baffling tactics" during home games has swelled the ranks of the "Law out" brigade.
"More and more supporters are becoming disconcerted," said Hawkridge. "Everyone is aware of the difficult financial circumstances in which Law has got to operate. A few weeks ago, a lot of fans were behind the manager - now I am not so sure. His tactics baffle a lot of people, especially at home.
"But even if he goes, I mean, how much money have they got to bring someone else in - and how much more can someone else do given the financial circumstances?"
l Sheffield United player-coach Stuart McCall has dismissed reports linking him with a return to City as manager.
The veteran midfielder insisted he had no idea he was the subject of newspaper speculation lining him up as replacement for Law.
"Bradford have got a manager and I won't be drawn into commenting on that," said McCall.
