Results of a questionnaire which took 18 months to complete will be revealed at a half-day conference all about Cottingley next month.
Organisers of the event at Bradford & Bingley Sports Club in Wagon Lane on Saturday, November 22 are hoping for a lively discussion.
The conference, which will run from 10am to 2pm, is open to anyone living in the village interested in making the community a better place to live.
Over the past year and a half, Cottingley Neighbour-hood Renewal Action Group has been asking locals for suggestions and those ideas have now been drawn up into an action plan for the area.
Residents, ward councillors, Council officers, police representatives and highways officials will come together at the conference to debate it and ways of moving the community forward.
People's main concerns highlighted in the questionnaire included the need for more security, safer snickets and footpaths, a good public transport system, improved recreation for the young and better social and health care for the elderly.
