Singers from Bradford are gathering to celebrate Yorkshire music at a charity concert in London.
The Yorkshire Festival of Music 2003 takes place at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday in aid of Yorkshire Cancer Research.
The event is the charity's largest fundraiser, with more than 50 choirs - including Shipley Musical Union and Steeton Male Voice Choir - taking part.
European Brass Band champions, The Yorkshire Building Society Band, will accompany the singers, along with the Sellers International Band.
The event, organised by
volunteers, was started in Huddersfield in 1984 and has raised more than £216,000.
This year's event will be compered by Gorden Kaye, star of BBC sitcom 'Allo 'Allo.
The Huddersfield-born actor is a keen supporter of the charity, especially following the death of co-star Carmen Silvera last year, who died aged 80 following a battle with lung cancer.
Mr Kaye said: "I am delighted to be the compere for such a worthwhile event, and look forward to a fantastic evening being reminded why Yorkshire is such a splendid place to live."
Yorkshire Cancer Research has been funding research since 1925, with work done by university scientists and at teaching hospitals.
