Two friends involved in a brawl with an off-duty police officer are demanding action be taken against him.
Adrian McNulty and Joanne Bryant pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm against the officer, and were both sentenced to carry out community punishment orders by Bradford magistrates yesterday.
But Nicholas Leadbeater, mitigating, told the court police officer Richard McFarlane "threw the first punch" in a taxi queue outside Queens Hall in Bradford city centre.
