An 11-year-old boy is aiming for more success after picking up his family's first medal.
Tom Warrington, of Glusburn, picked up a gold medal after scoring 526 points in the junior short western section of Aire Valley Archers' annual club competition.
The South Craven School student has been attending the club sessions at Sandylands, Skipton, and St Ives Golf Club, Bingley, for six months.
He started shooting after his 15-year-old sister Tessa, who is also a pupil at South Craven School, took up the sport as part of her Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Their father, the Rev David Warrington, minister of South Craven Baptist Church, also enjoys the pursuit.
Tom, who scored ten more points than he required for the award, said: "I was very happy. It was the first medal that anyone in my family has won.
"Last year I went to a football tournament and we won a trophy and I got another award for most improved player with my name engraved on it.
"But this is the first medal. So my family are all really proud of me."
Tom, who uses a weaker bow especially designed for children, has just started indoor winter training at Oakbank School.
He also hopes to shoot to further glory when he competes in the club's Christmas cracker competition next month.
