A Keighley woman died in a four-vehicle crash on Tuesday morning.

Tracey Taylor, 32, of Selborne Grove, died at the scene after her car was in collision with an articulated lorry in South Street, near the junction with Rawling Street.

Construction worker, Jonathan Rodde, of Yeadon, gave the kiss of life to Miss Taylor, 32, until emergency crews arrived.

Other passers-by had ripped off the door from the wrecked Hyundai, which was embedded in the front of the truck, and lifted the victim free.

Mr Rodde said: "We were parked at the side of the road in the van and heard a loud bang. The lorry came to rest right at the side of the van.

"I jumped out and we pulled off the door of the car and I gave her mouth-to-mouth. I don't think she gained consciousness.

"It was a terrible shock -- I feel so sorry for her family."

Miss Taylor was officially identified on Wednesday morning after a post mortem examination had been held.

Her death was the result of injuries sustained in the car crash and an inquest is expected to open today.

Two other vehicles were involved in the crash -- a Subaru and a Nissan -- with the wreckage from the incident blocking the carriageway.

A fifth vehicle, parked at the side of the road, was also damaged.

Keighley and Cleckheaton fire crews, two ambulance crews and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance were mobilised, but an ambulance spokesman said others involved in the accident did not require treatment.

Their details have not been released.

The road was sealed off for most of the morning and police set up diversions.

Keighley road traffic police are appealing for witnesses to the accident.
