Silsden Under-7s A were beaten 4-2 away at Shipley in a game which was much closer than the final score suggests. Shipley went 1-0 up before Callum Hey chipped the keeper after his throw-in came back to him off a clearance. Shipley regained their lead before half time and the second half was a tight affair with man of the match Pat Lee equalising for Silsden before Shipley scored to take the points.
Silsden Uunder-7s B also went 1-0 down at Shipley before a powerful corner from Nathan Martin beat the keeper at his near post and went in off a defender. In the second half man of the match Ben Appleyard was a constant concern for the home side eventually hitting the net to send his team home 2-1 winners.
Silsden Under-8s A drew 1-1 at home to Otley in an evenly matched game with man of the match Glen Watt finishing off a Jack Leach effort in the first half before Otley equalised in the second.
Silsden Under-8s B also drew 1-1 with Otley with the away side scoring in the first few minutes. The home side regrouped with Adam Leonard working hard in defence and were the stronger side after Jack Baker scored in the second half. Man of the match Kieran Wilson had several efforts on goal.
Silsden Under-15s a continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 5- win over Eccleshill. Andrew North equalised after an early Eccleshill goal but the home took the lead again with North equalising again just before the break. Man of the match North completed his hat-trick and there were further goals from Luke Scott and Lee McGowarn. There were also good performances from Ross Croad, James Kelly, Adam McLean and Jonas Bartle.
Silsden Under-12s A were down to 10 men early in the game, but had to battle hard against Lond Lee. Excellent teamwork kept them in the game, but they slipped to a 4-3 def4eat. Goals were scored by Jack Kendall (2) and man of the match Joe ridding.
Silsden Undr-12s B saw their rampant team spirit lead to a 7-0 victory against Wilsden. Sam wood scored four first half goals and he added a fifth after the break. Other goals came from Sam Stainfield and an excellent free kick from man of the match Tom Wilson.
Oakworth Under-7s A continued to improve with a 3-0 win at Queensbury. The whole team played well with Callum Holmes capping a very impressive debut by scoring all three goals. Ben Wedge and Oliver Huck shared the man of the match award.
Oakworth Under-7s B maintained their good start to the season with a 4-0 win at Queensbury. In another excellent team performance Jake Smith followed on from last week's four goals with another hat-trick. Nicholas Sharples scored the fourth on his first game. Sullivan Holmes gained the man of the match award with another solid display in defence.
Oakworth Under-13s beat Stanningley 6-3 with goals from D Rhodes (2), J Richardson (2), O Thomas and T Winterbottom. J Gage was the man of the match.
Oakworth's Halifax League Under-11s beat the Halifax Irish 7-1. They were 3-1 up at half time and the second period was one-way traffic Goals were scored by George Turner (2), Liam Fothergill (2), Adam Williams and man of the match Jonny Greenwood. Chris Lynch took the manager's award.
The Under-11s had also been in action on Saturday, beating Danum Invaders of Doncaster 8-2 in the Pennine AB Trophy. They had lost the first leg 5-1 and went behind early in the second leg before scoring eight goals to win 9-7 on aggregate with the whole team sharing the match award.
Sutton Rascals Under-9s A team suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of Horsforth. Sutton played some very good football before going behind against the run of play and were soon level following a well taken goal from George Eastbury. Horsforth edged back in front before half time. The second half was closely matched with chances at both ends but Horsforth put the game out of Sutton's reach with third goal to secure a 3-1 win. Todd Duncan was impressive in defence with Matthew Wiseman named man of the match for a hard working performance.
Sutton Rascals Under-9s B were involved in a close match with Horsforth and eventually ran out 1-0 winners. Both teams produced chances but a well taken goal from George Meehan won the game for Sutton. It was a good team effort with all players contributing. Daniel Mather again played well in goaland Harry Tosney kept Sutton in the game more than once with some well timed tackles. Substitute Daniel Hall was quick to get in the action and showed he was more than a match for the Horsforth strikers. Madison Teale was man of the match.
Long Lee Under-11s were unlucky to slip to a 4-3 defeat at Bingley despite playing some of their best football of the season. After going 2-0 down they were level by the break, but Bingley regained their two goal lead. Long Lee hit back to make it 4-3 and were unlucky not to force an equaliser. Scorers were B Whiteoak, T Colgan and man of the match Shaun Redman.
Long Lee Under-9s a travelled to Otley for a top of the table clash and secured a 4-2 win. Man of the match Thomas Higgins scored the first with Danny Driver adding a second half hat-trick. Otley scored two late goals, but the Keighley side were too strong for them.
Long Lee Under-12s A fought out an end to end contest with Silsden with both teams starting the day undefeated in the league. Joshua Huntley put Long Lee ahead but Silsden hit back to take a 2-1 lead. James Frances and Joshua Huntley make it 3-1 to Silsden at the break. The second half saw both teams giving everything with James Francis striking home a superb goal. In the last 10 minutes Silsden pulled back to 4-3 but Long Lee held out for victory. James Francis, Niall Burke and Craig Donegan shared the match point.
Keighley Shamrocks Under-8s lost 2-1 to Myrtle Park in a very close game. Goal scorer was Luke Watson-Dowler with Luke Reece named man of the match for some excellent defending.
Keighley Shamrocks Under-9s beat Shipley Tigers 7-3 after the teams were drawing 1-1 at the break. Lewis Wrathall scored four, James Lee was on target and Ben Roe scored twice including the final goal when he added the finishing touch to a Danny Roberts cross.
Keighley Shamrocks Under-10s suffered a heartbreak defeat when they were beaten 6-5 by Myrtle Park. They showed great spirit to pull back time and time again but were never ahead. Shammies were two goals down with five minutes to go and drew level, but a point was snatched from their grasp when Myrtle Park bundled the ball over the line with the last kick of the game. Scorers for Shamrocks were Adam Shepherd, Ross Kelly (2), Jack Ashcroft and Ryan Stubbs.
Shamrocks Under-10s also played Shelf A and recorded their first win of the season after a goalless first half. Adam Shepherd curled home a free kick and Jack Ashcroft headed home a perfect corner with four minutes left to secure the 2-1 win. Josh Bellamy and Liam foster were strong at the back with man of the match Shane Parker and captain Adam Shepherd taking control in midfield.
Keighley Shamrocks Under-11s lost 4-1 to Eldwick. A much improved performance was let down by poor finishing but there were signs of real progress. Goal scorer was Aiden Kirby and Josh Kaine was man of the match with defenders Aiden Kirby and Connor Featherstone also on form.
Shamrocks Under-14s came away with their third consecutive win when they beat Bankfoot Villa 5-4. James Natynczyk scored twice and man of the match Matthew Wilson added a hat-trick.
