Nicky Law will get his players training "night and day" after bottom club Wimbledon humiliated them in front of the Sky cameras at the National Hockey Stadium in Milton Keynes.
After leading through an Andy Gray strike, City let a team containing five 19-year-olds take a grip and transform the game.
And the City boss says Coventry must be "rubbing their hands with glee" at the prospect of facing his team at Highfield Road on Wednesday - assuming he is still in control.
"We shot ourselves in the foot again," said Law. "We had an opportunity to stop the rot but too many players thought 'here we go again - I have been here before'."
The distraught boss added: "We were in cruise control and then the self-destruct button went. We panicked.
"You look for strong characters in that situation but they were not there.
"A scout from Coventry was at the game. He must have been rubbing is hands with glee. We made all the wrong decisions in the second half. You are not going to win games making schoolboy errors."
Angry Law has cancelled all days off as he tries to bully City out of their current slump.
He said: "There's no such thing as a day off now. We'll work every day, twice a day, and that includes Sundays, until we get it right.
"There are players here who think they are better than Bradford City but I don't hear other clubs knocking the door down."
Andy Gray, who had put City in front, said: "It was nice to score but it doesn't count for anything now. The lads are devastated.
"All we can do is put it in the back of our minds and concentrate on Wednesday. It makes that an even bigger game now."
