A giant blackboard has been rescued from an historic Bradford school by developers who are turning the building into apartments.
Newmason Properties salvaged the Victorian blackboard, which measures 12ft by 13ft, from the former Byron Street School.
The Bradford-based company has now donated the board to the Armley Mills Industrial Museum in Leeds for use in its Victorian Schoolroom.
The Grade II-Listed former school is being converted into 74 homes - all of which have been snapped up ahead of completion of the £7.5 million scheme.
Partner Alec Newsham, said: "We are very passionate about history and architecture and so we are delighted to be able to make this gift. It's a real piece of history."
The blackboard will be put to good use at the Victorian Schoolroom, where history is brought back to life as children wear Victorian costume and experience a day of instruction in the three Rs.
