Silsden Ladies bounced back from their disappointing result the previous week with a 7-4 victory over Hebden Royd.
In the first half both attacks were on top. Silsden lost Grace Duffy early on to injury with substitute Carrie Paley replacing her. This seemed to unsettle Silsden and Hebden Royd took advantage. Silsden struck back with Katie Lightowler scoring her first Silsden goal. Again, Hebden Royd applied the pressure and scored, leaving Silsden 3-1 down after 20 minutes.
Silsden rallied with Lightowler adding to her earlier effort, and top scorer Emma Layton also added a goal. A further goal from Jo Vasey took Silsden in front for the first time. However, Hebden Royd equalised shortly afterwards to make it 4-4 at half time.
Silsden maintained their momentum in the second half, the defence tightened up and they took the lead again, with second half goals coming from Claire Hodgson and Eddi Smith (2).
The win should give them confidence for this week's match away to Brighouse & Lightcliffe Ladies.
n Keighley Ladies went down 4-1 in their top of the table clash with Tadcaster Albion.
The defeat leaves Tadcaster on top of the table and stretches their lead to six points ahead of Keighley in second place.
Maria McArdle scored the Keighley side's goal, but despite a good performance they coud not contain the Tadcaster side.
On Sunday Keighley aim to return to winning ways when they meet Republica Internationale at Marley.
