RIDER Alexandra Ahern has enjoyed a successful season in the saddle.
Alexandra, 15, a pupil at south Craven School, reached the Horse of the Year show at the NEC in Birmingham and captured a third in class award on her 13.2 hands show pony.
She qualified for the prestigious Horse of the Year show with a top performance at the North of England Summer Show earlier in the year.
Alexandra has since sold the pony after a successful year and is planning to compete on a bigger pony next season.
She is the daughter of Paddy Ahern who owns Aire View Farm stables in Harden Road, Keighley. They are currently building an indoor arena which will allow coaching and local competitions to take place throughout the year.
