In association with Hillards Ltd, Baric Computer Services Ltd has opened its new computer centre in Hillbar House, Marsh Lane, Cleckheaton. The formal opening ceremony was carried out jointly by Mr Gordon Hunter, chairman of Hillards, and Mr Peter Holland, managing director of Baric. The centre will house an ICL 2904 computer and marks yet a further step in the eight-year association which Baric and Hillards have successfully shared.

Bebop dancing has been banned at the Albert Hall, Pudsey. "Beboppers" are going to the hall from others where it is banned in such numbers that they interfere with the pleasure of other dancers, says Alderman Godfrey Wood, chairman of the Corporation Baths Committee.
