ICE HOCKEY: Bradford Bulldogs went down 9-3 to the Kingston Jets.
The Jets opened their account in the second period when veteran Matt Street found the back of the net from an assist by Andy Winn.
Ari Nurmi equalised off a rebound and at 1-1 going into the opening of the third period it was still anyone's game.
The Bulldogs took the lead at 45.50 when D man Dean Boothroyd took the puck around the back of the Jets net and feigned a pass out to the waiting forwards which completely foxed Holmes in the Jets net, and Boothroyd planted the puck home.
Jets' Dave Wyatt scored with a slapshot from the blue line to equalise before, at 47.17, Nurmi fired a slapshot at the Jets netminder and Mark McDonald was on hand to pop in the rebound.
But all the Bulldogs' hard work was cancelled out by a rousing
finish from the Jets, who put seven unanswered goals passed the now hapless Bradford side in the
closing stages.
