Mark Paston is looking forward to playing in his first home game since September.
The Kiwi international keeper missed training yesterday as a precaution with a slight groin strain.
But Bryan Robson is confident he will be fit to face Rotherham - and believes Paston's commanding 6ft 4in physique will be crucial.
The City boss, who brought back Paston for Alan Combe at Wigan, said: "After the first ten to 15 minutes last week he had a good game and was very commanding around the box. We'll need that against Rotherham.
"They are dangerous at set-plays and hopefully Mark can be dominant in that area. With having a game under his belt now since his injury, that will give him a little bit more confidence."
Robson must decide how to replace the suspended Dean Windass and admits he will have to rethink his tactics.
But he is delighted to see David Wetherall, out since October,
making progress.
"Dave did a little bit of ball work yesterday and he's going along okay although it's still going to be a few weeks. But it's nice to see him training again.
"With the experience of Danny Cadamarteri and Dave Wetherall, the sooner we get the two of them fit and back in the squad, the better for everybody concerned."
l Former boss Nicky Law is keeping his options open after being interviewed for the vacant managers' post at Southend.
