Police today appealed for information after a student was robbed at gunpoint in a terrifying attack in Manningham.
The 28-year-old student was walking home along Oak Lane at 10.40pm on Saturday when a white car - believed to be a Toyota with a part registration of 818 - pulled up alongside him.
Police said two Asian youths were inside the car and the passenger wound down the window and asked the man for a cigarette.
The student was then horrified to see what he believes was a gun pointed at him by the young passenger.
Inspector Adrian Lyles, of Bradford North CID, said: "Following the verbal exchange, what is described as a dark, silver-barrelled handgun was then produced and money demanded from the complainant.
"They stole a small amount of money and made off." The student was unhurt during the incident, but badly shaken.
Inspector Lyles said officers were now looking for two men in connection with the incident in the busy Manningham street.
The passenger was described as an Asian male, in his late teens, skinny, clean shaven, with a large nose, wearing a light brown baseball cap with a small, square pattern on it.
The driver was also an Asian male, in his late teens, with a thin face, skinny and a hooked nose.
"Anyone who has any information regarding the white car - either before or after the incident - or either of the two suspects should ring the police," Insp Lyles said.
Anyone with any information about Saturday night's incident should call either Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or Eccleshill CID on (01274) 376085.
