Several clubs in the Bradford District Scratch League used Friday's blank fixture list ahead of Sunday's Open Championship to catch up on matches abandoned due to torrential rain on June 14.
In the second division Headley and Cleckheaton conceded two games each because none of the players who started originally were available. Shipley beat Baildon 5-3 in the other fixture.
In Division 3 Silsden lost 3-5 at home to Hollins Hall (A Clarke lost to I Martin 3 & 2, A Kkais lost to J Rea 3 & 2, A Mawson halved with D Wallis, P Davies beat G Marsh 1 up), and in Division 4 Bracken Ghyll and West Bowling shared the points.
Keighley slipped to third in the Bradford 8-15 league's first division after their 4-4 draw at Northcliffe on Friday. They were overtaken by both Howley Hall, 8-0 winners over Clayton, and The Manor, who beat Cleckheaton by the same score, and are now three points off the lead with one match remaining, at home to Northcliffe tonight.
Branshaw eased their relegation worries with an 8-0 home win over South Bradford, and need only one point away tonight to ensure their first division status. South Bradford are already relegated, and look set to be joined by Cleckheaton.
In the second division Skipton's championship and promotion hopes took a severe dent when they went down 7-1 at Rawdon, leaving them six points behind leaders Shipley with just tonight's match remaining. Riddlesden won 8-0 at home to Fulneck to keep alive their chances of avoiding relegation, but they are only one point ahead of Rawdon, two ahead of Calverley and three above bottom-placed Woodhall Hills.
In the third division Bingley St Ives lost 5-3 at bottom club Headley, while Silsden eased up the table with a 7-1 home win over Bradford Moor. Bracken Ghyll took four points at Hollins Hall to go to the top.
West Bradford are top of the fourth division with 60 points, just four ahead of Ben Rhydding, who won 8-0 on Friday and have a match in hand.
n There are still some places available for the annual DM Manorlands Charity Golf Day, being held at Bingley St Ives on Friday August 16. Cost is £100 per team of four. Contact Paul Hellens on 01535 669216 for details.
