The West Riding County FA have insisted that Guiseley and Selby Town play their County Cup second round tie tomorrow despite both clubs' pleas that it should be held over until the New Year.
The fixture was expected to be re-arranged for Tuesday, January 6 - which Guiseley were quite happy with.
However, last Thursday the clubs were ordered to set the date for tomorrow. Selby Town are just as annoyed with the decision.
"I speak for Selby as well as ourselves when I say none of us are too happy about this decision," said Guiseley boss Neil Parsley.
"We all work for a living and at the semi-pro level that entails doing two jobs - the one that pays most of the bills and the football one that brings in extra cash. The holidays should be respected because everyone has families.
"The next round of the competition is not until the first week of February so it is not as if we haven't got time to get this one played at a much more suitable time. In my opinion the County FA are totally out of order," added Parsley.
They had asked for, and been granted by the UniBond League, permission to re-schedule their game against Farsley Celtic on Boxing Day to Saturday, 24 hours later, to give the players time to enjoy the festivities.
"The goodwill, it appears, does not stretch to the County FA," said Parsley.
"They have ruined a little break for the players and put me in a compromising position. Three or four seasons back when I was a player here and Bobby Davison was in charge we fielded what was allegedly a weakened team. We had a lot of injuries at the time.
"They decided we had showed a lack of respect for the competition and fined the club. I have already given my players licence to visit their families up and down the country. If I can't persuade them to change their arrangements and put a side out with six or seven missing am I going to be hit with the same charge?"
