Motorists at three Bradford car parks got a new kind of ticket today. The city's first Pay and Display parking scheme came into operation in three off-street car parks. But some drivers reacted angrily to the innovation. Motorists using the car parks in William Street, Swan Street and Portland Street have to get a ticket from special machines and display it on their vehicle windscreens. A Bradford Metropolitan Council spokesman said: "We have already had quite a few complaints, but they were not unexpected."
