SUNNY skies welcomed visitors to Askwith Show at the weekend.
And with more entries than ever this year, there was plenty for people to do while enjoying the June weather.
Show secretary Adele Marston said: "We had a wonderful day - it was just perfect. There were good entries in the produce and handicrafts sections and the horse section was very well attended this year."
The Companion Dog Show was a great success with more entries than ever before.
There were 13 classes including 'waggiest tail', 'heinz variety' and 'the dog or bitch that the judge would like to take home.'
And events such as the dry stone walling competition and vintage machinery competition kept the visitors entertained.
Mrs Marston said: "We had four dry stone wallers demonstrating for four hours - two local boys had a go and it was very popular with the visitors."
Michelle Bradley from Bramhope brought her two children to the show for the first time this year.
Mrs Bradley said: "Askwith is such a lovely little village so we decided to come to the show. We have had a wonderful day. We particularly enjoyed the dog show and the refreshments in the village hall.
"All being well, we will definitely be back next year."
Mrs Marston said: "I would like to thank everyone who attended - the judges and the stewards and everyone who came, it was very much appreciated. It was a lovely day."
