THERE was some high scoring in Division C where the leaders Bardsey smashed 300 off the Ben Rhydding attack.There were good contributions from A Bowes (65), C Davies (54) and G Hopton (44) as the Ben Rhydding bowlers were put to the sword.
Rhydding managed to frustrate Bardsey by hanging on at 129-8 for a point - the first dropped by Bardsey this season. Ian Winterbottom held the innings together with a knock of 51.
Horsforth are in second place having won six of their eight games. On Saturday they rubbed off the Upper Wharfedale score of 172 with three wickets in hand. K Lewis had bowled well to take 5-60 off 15 overs for Horsforth who then lost two early wickets but recovered through a fine 78 from J Pemberton. With their overseas player Chetan Mankad contributing 40 victory came in the 43rd over.
Olicanians batted well to post a score of 224 with former Bradford League player Alastair Long making a fine 84. Opener's David Brook (30) and Leigh Ellis (38) shared a stand of 72. Addingham replied with 193-7 to draw thanks to a fine 80 from their overseas player Toby Stapledon and 31 not out from C Taylor who had earlier taken 5-52 off 14 overs.
Colton's Australian all-rounder Brendan Borgelt smashed a fine 117 off the Bolton Villas attack as his side notched a total of 238. He shared a sixth wicket stand of 128 with Danny Gautrey who made 54.
Villas were just four runs behind at the close with nine wickets down, David Wright having taken 7-79.
