SOME big hitting by Bilton's Toby Drummond and Mahmood Rasool brought their side a victory which edged them one point in front of North Leeds.
Bilton were facing a Rawdon total of 191, of which former Buckinghamshire player Bruce Percy had hit 87.
His colleagues struggled against the pace of Guy Saxton who took 6-53. Drummond cut loose hitting 13 fours in his 69 while Rasool hit 2 sixes and 11 fours in his 65. Bilton went on to win by four wickets.
North Leeds had to settle for a draw when Kirkstall Educational finished on 188-6 in reply to their superb 254-6.
Gaining only one point saw Kirkstall slip from third to fifth place in the table.
F Khan led the Roundhay side to victory with an innings of 66.
In the big derby clash at Guiseley Otley bagged a share of the spoils. The injury hit Guiseley side was without Ian Chaplin and Howard Reeve and they struggled to 157 all out as Australian Andrew Burke took 4-41 and Robert Atkinson 4-48 against his old club.
Simon Ross provided the backbone of the Guiseley innings with a knock of 61 while Mark Best (42) and Richard Whitaker (35) made useful contributions.
Otley replied with 127-7 with only Matt O'Grady (30) and David Taylor (32) coming to grips with the bowling of young J Davies who won the family honours on the day with his cousin James being one of his three victims. He took 3-11 and Andrew Paley took 3-44 to keep Otley in check.
Menston continue to struggle but they got two points from a drawn game with Follifoot who made 172-8. N Granger hit a half-century for Follifoot while opener Paul Angove made 33 and Aussie Ben Waterman 32.
Menston made 153-8 in reply as they struggled against the bowling of S Taylor who took 4-39 off 19 overs.
Nick Thornton top scored for Menston with 32. David Lester contributed 29 and opener Nick Fitzpatrick 23.
Green Lane opener Jamie Pickering continued his good form with a knock of 43 as Lane totalled 217-8.
Craig Chaplin top scored with an unbeaten 52 while Steve Hargreaves made 44.
Adel replied with 184-9 to draw thanks to 45 from David Standring and 47 from S Howie. Australian Rohan Obst picked up 4-77 for Lane and Neil Allitt 3-21.
Hall Park had their batting heroes in Fav Butt, who fell ten runs short of his century; Kenrick Marshall, who made 49, and Jamie Simpson, who made 45.
Butt's knock included 14 fours while Marshall played his usual aggressive innings smashing 4 sixes in his tally
Park's total of 220-7 was not enough however as Beckwithshaw hammered victory off the last ball and moved into third place in the table.
Beckwithshaw were struggling until their skipper Paul Thompson joined Simon Barker at the crease. They shared an unbroken fourth wicket stand of 140. Barker rounded off a brilliant century with a match winning four off the last ball of the match. Thompson made an unbeaten 58.
