Health workers got on their bikes for Cycle to Work Day -- part of National Cycle Week.
Staff at Airedale NHS Trust pedalled to work on Wednesday and were given a free meal in Airedale Hospital dining room and cycle gifts to reward their efforts.
Marjorie Tindale, the trust's operational service manager, said: "It's not only a healthy way to travel, it's also free and frees up valuable parking space."
Meanwhile, staff at Saltaire company Pace Micro Technology got on their bikes for Manorlands on Wednesday morning.
Employees cycled from all over the district, including Otley and Haworth, while one energetic staff member cycled over 30 miles from South Yorkshire.
Staff have been collecting sponsorship and all proceeds will be going to the Manorlands Sue Ryder hospice at Oxenhope.
Pace event organiser Kathleen Holton said: "We wanted to support Bike to Work Week and help a local charity at the same time.
"Everyone that took part said they actually enjoyed their journey to work."
For employees who could not cycle to work, a walk around the park in Saltaire was planned.
Manorlands fundraiser Sally Owthwaite said: "We are delighted that Pace is supporting Manorlands once again.
"We think the Bike to Work event is such a simple idea and a great way to raise funds whilst being good for the environment and for health!
"We are privileged to receive the ongoing support of Pace Micro Technology for our hospice and we wish them every success in their fundraising efforts.
"We are hoping that other local businesses follow Pace's example."
