South Craven man Keith Shaw leads several local artists exhibiting more than 100 pictures this weekend at Carleton Social Club near Skipton.
Keith, who has long been involved in theatrical events at Glusburn Institute, is a self-taught painter of watercolours and acrylics.
He grew up in Carleton and for many years designed posters for village functions, or to raise funds for the war effort.
He has also painted views of the village for many years -- often from the St Mary's Church tower -- and is still inspired by landscape.
The exhibition runs tonight (7-10pm), tomorrow (noon-4pm) and Sunday (noon-4pm). Admission £1, children free. Phone 01756 793810.
n The sun's out, the surf's up and the beach is the place to be as H Club bring the seaside to Oakworth next Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The junior section of Keighley youth theatre HYT presents At the Water's Edge in the former Bronte Middle School on Oakworth Road.
The show, subtitled "a tale of ice cream and intrigue" has been written and directed by group leaders Charlotte Crossley and Sarah Scott based on ideas from the young cast.
Charlotte says: "This production takes a look at what and who can be found on the beach. It's got humour but also sadness, which is where the intrigue comes in.
"We meet a modelling shoot, refreshment caravan, a lifeguard and his assistant, and a group of friends running away from one of their wedding days after jilting her fiance at the altar."

n An adaptation of Shakespeare's magical play A Midsummer Night's Dream is being presented on Sunday by Keighley drama group Inner Space.
The actors, who all have learning disabilities, will be performing their highly visual 50-minute show outdoors at East Riddlesden Hall from 2pm.
Inner Space have received acclaim for previous productions such as Minotaur and The Ghosts, which were also prepared with professional director Anthony Homyer.
Members take on the roles of the "Mechanicals", Shakespeare's group of working men who decide to put on a play.
Their deadly serious attempt at "high culture" ends up being amusing, but their determination is also courageous and moving.
Anthony says: "A great play has memorable characters and a good story, but can be communicated in many different ways. There are marvellous discoveries to be made and surprises in store."
Admission to the play is included in the admission price to East Riddlesden Hall.
